Walden vs Legacy
Both are newer, both are off Macleod Trail in the far south, and buyers regularly look at the two on the same weekend. The differences are real but quieter than in the lake communities — they show up in topography, green space and how each one is laid out.
Choose Walden if you want the flatter, simpler layout
Walden is straightforward to get around, has its own shopping close at hand, and its housing mix — laned homes, front-garage homes, townhomes — makes it one of the more accessible entry points into a newer south community. It is the practical choice.
Choose Legacy if you want the ravine and the green space
Legacy is built around a large environmental reserve and pathway network, with rolling topography and views that Walden’s flatter land cannot offer. If walking out your door into a ravine matters to you, that is a difference no floor plan makes up for.

What I'd actually tell you
Both communities are far enough south that the commute is the thing to test, not read about. Drive it at 7:30 on a Tuesday before you decide — the difference between them is small, but the difference between either and your tolerance for Macleod Trail at rush hour may not be.
In newer communities the phase matters more than the community. An early Walden phase and a current Legacy phase are different products in different condition, with different landscaping and different warranty positions. I would rather compare two specific houses than two names.
Resale note: in both, the homes that hold value best are the ones with something that cannot be rebuilt next door — backing onto reserve or pathway, a genuine view, or a wider lot. In a community where a builder can produce an identical floor plan two streets over, the land is the part that is scarce.
